Giant freakin ‘robot reported that a Dishonored project is in the works at Netflix. Video game adaptations are the new frontier Netflix is steadily expanding to, especially after the overwhelming success of The Witcher.

Netflix has a star-studded line-up of writers, directors, and actors. They have emerged as powerful contenders against traditional Hollywood studios in recent years. Building franchises is currently the name of the game for Netflix, and video game adaptations seem to be one of their main focuses.

The Dishonored project is one of the many video game adaptation projects that Netflix has been focusing heavily on recently

Although the Giant Freakin Robot report suggests that the news about the Dishonored project came from a trusted and trusted insider source on Netflix, not many details were revealed in the exclusive report.

Dishonored, the 2012 Arkane Studios (published by Bethesda Softworks) track featured the voice actors of several well-known actors including Susan Sarandon, Brad Dourif, Carrie Fisher, Michael Madsen, John Slattery, Lena Headey and Chloë Grace Moretz.

The game is set in the fictional plague-ridden industrial town of Dunwall, which is heavily inspired by late 19th century London and Edinburgh. City architecture and environmental design also became a character in the game.

The game puts players in the shoes of Corvo Attano, the bodyguard of the Empress of the Islands, who was charged with her murder and kidnapping of her daughter. Through the journey within the game, Corvo seeks revenge on the conspirators as an assassin. Corvo was helped in his search by the Loyalists – a resistance group fighting to retake Dunwall and the Outsider – a powerful being who gives Corvo magical abilities.

Notably, in the case of the Dishonored project, Netflix has much less source material to work with compared to The Witcher.
