Pokemon GO allows players to use lure modules to lure certain types of Pokemon into their location.

There are different types of bait modules in Pokemon GO that can be placed at a PokeStop. These are the generic Lure Modules, Glacial, Magnetic, Rainy, and Mossy.

The Mossy Lure Module is currently one of the most popular lure modules in Pokemon GO. The description in the game states that it is a “natural” bait module that attracts more Pokémon than usual in 30 minutes and can cause an evolution.

As the name suggests, the Mossy Lure Module attracts a wide variety of Pokemon in Pokemon GO. Just go near a PokeStop, place a Mossy Lure module in it, and wait for the Pokémon to appear.

It specifically attracts bug, grass, and poison-type Pokémon. It also allows Eevee to evolve into Leafeon when the user is near a PokeStop that has an active Mossy Lure module.

Players can purchase this from the Pokemon GO shop for 200 PokeCoins. It is also rewarded all year round as you level up or through certain challenges in the game.

The following Pokémon currently have increased spawn rates around the Mossy Lure module in Pokemon GO from August 2021.

  • Strange
  • Bell rungs
  • Venonat
  • Tangela
  • Eevee
  • Sudowoodo
  • Hoppip
  • Yanma
  • Roselia
  • Cherubi

Here are all of the Pokemon in Pokemon GO that once had increased spawn rates near a Mossy Lure module. They have been removed from the rotation of this lure but could make a comeback.

  • Butter free
  • Beedrill
  • To run
  • Scythe
  • Shuckle
  • Gulpin
  • Combee

Now that players know which Pokémon appear near a Mossy Lure module in Pokemon GO more often, players need to learn how to place one and use it.

Players must stand near a PokeStop in order to spin it and claim the rewards. At this distance you can place a lure module in this place. Tap the PokeStop to see a little pink bait button above the rotating circle.

Players can choose any bait module, including the Mossy module. After confirming their bait selection, players will see a change in the appearance of PokeStop on the map. Other Pokemon GO trainers will notice the difference too.
