There was a lot of riddle on WWE RAW last night, and while it was certainly entertaining, did it help the viewers of the show last night?

According to John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal, this week’s edition of WWE RAW drew 1.570 million viewers, significantly less than the previous week’s 1.719. With WWE delivering two good back-to-back episodes of RAW this year, it must be seen as disappointing that the numbers have fallen so sharply.

While this isn’t a huge number, it’s not the worst WWE RAW has done this year. Your worst rating comes at the end of May.

Did the NBA playoffs hurt WWE RAW?

As of this writing, the 18-49 demo for this week’s episode of WWE RAW has not yet been released.

With a sharp drop in ratings this week, WWE and its fans will be looking for answers right away. The simple answer is to point your finger at the NBA playoffs and the NHL Stanley Cup that started last night.

Each sport had two big games to play against WWE RAW on Monday and is likely to have a big impact on their viewership dropping that week.

WWE RAW opened this up with a Battle Royal to take last place in the Last Chance Triple Threat Match for Money in the Bank when Randy Orton was not on the show.

At the main event, Riddle, who won the Battle Royal earlier that evening, competed against Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles. If The Original Bro had won the match, Orton would have got a place in the Money in the Bank Ladder match.

Despite his valiant efforts, it was McIntyre who took the win and booked his place in the men’s Money In The Bank ladder match.
