The Usos came into Money in the Bank’s pay-per-view program tonight with a thought. It was about winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. This has been the main goal of Jimmy and Jey Uso since Roman Reigns had the bloodline on the same side.
You’d have that opportunity tonight when they competed against The Mysterios on the Money in the Bank’s opening show.
The Mysterios, the first father-and-son combo to win tag team titles in WWE history, were favorites in Fort Worth, Texas when the company finally returned to the streets after a 17-month exile at ThunderDome.
Despite the valiant efforts of The Mysterios, Jimmy and Jey Uso took the titles and became seven-time Tag Team Champions.
Her victory in the opening show means The Bloodline is currently shrouded in gold. Roman Reigns still needs to get the Beat Edge, which seems to have been the Tribal Chief number in the last few episodes.
The Mysterios will grapple with how The Usos won the titles
The Usos won the SmackDown Tag Team titles, but the win was controversial. Jimmy Uso was able to secure the win, with a little help from his brother who supported him as he curled up Rey Mysterio for the win.
The Mysterios are sure to question this and may address this in the upcoming episode of SmackDown.
The feud between them doesn’t seem to be over yet and it seems like The Mysterios and The Usos could fight for the titles at least until SummerSlam.
