The final season of Apex Legends was incredibly successful for Electronic Arts. With the pros from Call of Duty Warzone to switch to EA’s Battle Royale, the excitement for Apex Legends has never been so loud. That doesn’t mean the game is perfect, however, as Apex Legends’ newest playable character, “Seer”, was gloriously broken when it was released. After a patch on August 23, the Seer nerfing, developer Respawn Entertainment promised two follow-up patches, which have now arrived.

Apex Legends Emergence August 30th Patch Notes

The issues alleviated by the latest patch are the removal of the “Knock-Jump” error and the incorrect store listing for the Bangalore Edition. This patch, while minor, is absolutely critical to a competitive battle royale, where mistakes like this can change the outcome of a game.

The full patch notes for update 1.78 are as follows:

Seer changes

  • Increased waiting time between sensor tips for targets with full HP (1.25s to 1.75s)
  • Removed ellipses from the center circle
  • Reduced range over 75m (blue spikes)
  • Reduced field of view

  • Detonation delay increased from 1.4 s to 1.6 s
  • Hit players are no longer damaged or flashed. Screen tremors from hits are also reduced
  • Added movement slowdown while holding tactical
  • Decreased volume for audio

  • Increases the cooldown from 90s to 120s

Other fixes

  • A problem caused by Climatizer FX has been fixed (error “No existing effect for handle”)
  • Fixed problem with challenges (“Array index – 1 is out of range”)
  • Fixed most instances of Legends holding a grenade if they don’t have one in their inventory (Wattson still suffers from this in some rare cases)
  • Fixed a bug where multiple grenades were being used on explosive holds (another update later today will cause explosive holds to appear closed again)
  • Apex Legends Switch: corrected holospray display

Follow-up patch from August 23:

  • Prowler temporarily disabled in arenas due to crash issues
