Sean O’Malley celebrates a spectacular third round TKO win against Kris Moutinho, whom he defeated in the high profile UFC 264 event in July 2021.
In the bantamweight match, Sean O’Malley dominated the exchange of blows, while Moutinho continued to advance despite hard punches. “Suga” has now claimed that his hands have still not recovered from the blows on Moutinho’s head.
Speaking to The Schmo, Sean O’Malley revealed that his ankles are still sore from the fight. O’Malley noted that he and his trainer Tim Welch had a recent seminar on hitting a class. Suga added that during the seminar he felt his ankles hurt when he hit. Sean O’Malley said:
“I did a seminar today. And Tim and I taught something where we slapped his hand, his open hand. And my ankle just still hurts from this guy’s head. He’s fighting in front of me and I beat him up. How does this work?”
The Schmo confirmed that Sean O’Malley was actually talking about Kris Moutinho. O’Malley then added:
“My ankles are still hurting from his goddamn head.”

The UFC 264 match between Sean O’Malley and Kris Moutinho earned them a lot of praise. O’Malley was praised for his brilliant hitting skills – both on the defensive and on the offensive. On the other hand, Moutinho was celebrated for his resilience and fighting spirit.
As per UFC statistics, Sean O’Malley scored 230 of 318 major hits, while Kris Moutinho scored 70 of 218 major hits.
Sean O’Malley plans to return to the Octagon in December
Earlier this year, the MMA rumor mill speculated that Sean O’Malley might fight legendary Frankie Edgar at UFC 268 on November 6, 2021.
However, Sean O’Malley indicated that he does not want to fight in New York because of the high taxes in the area. Edgar was subsequently booked against Marlon Vera at UFC 268, which will be held at MSG in New York.
O’Malley has stressed that he would like to fight in Las Vegas this December, regardless of who his opponent is.
Kris Moutinho’s next fight will be a bantamweight bout against Aaron Phillips at UFC Fight Night 196 on October 23, 2021.
