The Multan Sultans spin bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed has named the PSL the best league in the world. He claimed that foreign players told him that they like the high quality cricket in PSL as it helps them improve their game.

The PSL 2021 was recently completed in the United Arab Emirates, with the Multan Sultans defeating Peshawar Zalmi in the final. In an interview with Cricket Pakistan, Ahmed praised the level of cricket in the PSL. He stated:

“PSL is the best league in the world. I have spoken to a lot of foreign players and they told me that they have not experienced such tough bowling anywhere. Take IPL, Big Bash or England’s T20 explosion, no league has the kind of bowlers like the PSL. Every PSL franchise has 2-3 bowlers who can bowl at a speed of over 135 (km / h). There are also so many mystery weirdos. “

The former Pakistani leg spinner continued:

“International players who spoke to me have said that they love to play PSL because they can play tough cricket and it helps them improve their games. PSL is fortunate to have such high quality bowlers, which entices foreign players to take part in the league. There is also a lot of professionalism. I give credit to PCB and all six franchises. Pakistan benefits from the league as the national team brings a lot of talent here. I hope Pakistan continues to find PSL superstars. “

Mohammad Rizwan played a big role in the PSL victory of the Multan Sultans: Mushtaq Ahmed

The Multan Sultans only won one of their five PSL 2021 games in Karachi, but were victorious in four of the five league games in Abu Dhabi, which ensured their qualification for the playoffs. Ahmed said the Multan Sultans’ first victory over the Karachi Kings in Abu Dhabi gave them the confidence to go all the way in PSL 2021.

He stated:

“All praise goes to the players. The coaches and supervisors can make many plans, but they will not be successful until the players execute them. Mohammad Rizwan played a major role in the victory of the Multan Sultans. He led the team very well. This game is all about momentum. We didn’t have any momentum in Karachi, even though we had a strong team. But when we got to Abu Dhabi we got confidence and momentum after winning the first game. From a coaching point of view, belief is very important. When I speak to the guys, they have to feel that I mean every word I say and that I am not just talking for the sake of the word. My relationship with Andy (Flower) is very strong. We trained England together for six years. He trusts me very much. “

Multan Sultans initially scored 206 for 4 strokes in the PSL 2021 final and then limited Peshawar Zalmi to 159 for 9.
