Former English striker Peter Crouch believes Chelsea could become a real contender for the Premier League title next season if they sign Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland.
Erling Haaland is currently one of the greatest talents in world football. In his first full season with the club last season, the Norwegian scored an unbelievable 41 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund.
The 20-year-old has had strong ties with Europe’s top clubs in recent months. The forward’s representatives reportedly even had a meeting with Barcelona President Joan Laporta this summer over a possible move to Camp Nou.
The Premier League giant Chelsea is the latest club to show interest in the Borussia Dortmund star. The Blues desperately need a top scorer.
Thomas Tuchel allegedly has no trust in Timo Werner, Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham. The German tactician had to play Kai Havertz as a provisional striker towards the end of last season.
Former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch believes Chelsea will become a real title contender next season if they manage to sign Erling Haaland this summer.
“If Chelsea sign Erling Haaland they are without a doubt title contenders. They have a squad ready for a title challenge and will be confident after winning the Champions League,” said Crouch Paddy power.
“If they get Haaland, they’ll be 100 percent in. It’s going to be an amazing season to see if anyone can overthrow Manchester City.”

Chelsea could turn their attention to Romelu Lukaku if Borussia Dortmund refuse to sell Erling Haaland
Borussia Dortmund announced earlier this week that it was selling Jadon Sancho to Manchester United for £ 73million.
However, the German giant is unlikely to part ways with Erling Haaland this summer as the striker still has three years left on his current contract with the club.
Chelsea could therefore try to sign Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan this summer.
The Belgian striker has become one of the most feared strikers in Europe during his time in Italy. He once again proved his quality during Euro 2020 when he scored four goals for Belgium before they were knocked out of the competition by Italy in the quarter-finals last night.
