AEW commentator and WWE legend Paul Wight (fka The Big Show) has given an important update on his plans to return to the ring.
The greatest athlete in the world spoke with WrestleZone and revealed what his plans are driving forward. Wight made it clear that he doesn’t want to take away TV time for younger AEW stars who need them more.
He went on by saying that he had studied AEW’s roster and product to fit in seamlessly once he laced his boots “very soon”.
“One of the things Tony Khan and I talked about was that I gained years of experience from decades of competing around the world against some of the greatest stars the world has ever seen,” said Wight. “How do I implement this in the AEW environment? I’ve been with it for a long time. I’m the newcomer to town too and my thing wasn’t taking TV times away from younger talent.
“Since I started out as a commentator, I had the opportunity to study the AEW product, study the AEW talent and get acquainted with them. So when I put my boots on soon, I’ll already have an idea of all of the talents I’m working on and what they individually want to achieve, and I’ll take some of my experience and help build on them. “
Paul Wight last competed before AEW in 2020
Paul Wight’s last match was a loss to Randy Orton at WWE Monday Night RAW in an unapproved match. Wight has been in the gym since then and looks in excellent shape.
Paul Wight will be considered one of the greatest great men of all time and looks as good as ever. Hopefully the fans will see him in the ring again, where he can dress any of AEW’s up and coming stars.
