Mohammed Shami certainly spoiled the farewell party for New Zealand porter BJ Watling, who is playing his final test. The runabout produced an absolute beauty to make Watling pack for only 1 in what may be his final testinnings.

Mohammed Shami was only a touch smaller up to this point. But just then he made sure that he got the ball fairly full and that it moved away just enough that Watling fully straightened. The kiwi keeper was in disbelief as he made his long walk back to the pavilion.

Here is the video of Mohammed Shami casting BJ Watling:

Thanks to Mohammed Shami’s brilliant bowling, India has certainly won the opening session of what may be the crucial day 5. After Virat Kohli and his men have picked up three wickets, they will feel like they are ahead of the game in this crucial world test Final of the Championship (WTC).

As the rain washed away all of the action on Day 4, the first session was crucial. The pitch had a lot to offer the Indian pacemakers, but in the first hour they were a little too short in length.

Both Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor struggled for runs in the first hour of play, but they made sure no wickets were lost. But just when India was in need of inspiration, Mohammed Shami produced Taylor’s wicket.

Pulling Taylor into a straight drive, Shami induced a false shot and Shubman Gill completed a sensational catch in the middle. Ishant Sharma then cut Henry Nicholls’ stay at the fold when the southpaw lined one to Rohit Sharma in the cordon.

Watlings wicket was just the icing on the cake for the Indian team as the Kiwis now seem to be in trouble 135-5 and still have 82 runs behind them. Mohammed Shami has once again proven how dangerous he can be once he has found his mojo. We certainly have an exciting matchday ahead of us.
