Liverpool have been linked with several signings to add to their squad ahead of the new season.
Here we take a look at the latest Liverpool Transfer news and rumors from June 28, 2021.
Christoph Baumgartner on Liverpool’s radar
Christoph Baumgartner was an important part of the Austrian team that made history by qualifying for the first time ever for the knockout phase of a European competition at Euro 2020.
The Hoffenheim attacking midfielder scored an important goal against Ukraine that sealed their qualification.
The only 21-year-old Baumgartner showed impressive performances for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga last season. He finished the season with six goals and five assists.
Baumgartner is on Liverpool’s radar, according to Kicker, but the Reds could face competition from arch-rivals Manchester United.
Baumgartner is an attacking midfielder but can play on the left side of the attack as he did for Austria at Euro 2020.

Loris Karius gives an update on his future
Liverpool manager Loris Karius hasn’t ruled out the possibility of letting his club contract expire this season after failing to impress on loan last season.
Karius was loaned to Union Berlin last season, but only made five appearances for the German team across all competitions.
No decision had yet been made about his future, said the German, and he was open to anything.
“I’m in Liverpool on July 12th. There is still a lot going on at the moment. Because of the EM and Corona, the transfer market will pick up quite late, ”said Karius.
“I will keep everything open and make the right decision for myself. I want to prove something to myself and to the people. “
“I am extremely hungry and motivated. You should never rule anything out. Last year I was gone and two weeks later I would have been in the goalkeeping position at Liverpool goal due to injuries,
Liverpool may have ended their interest in Florian Neuhaus
Liverpool were reportedly interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus only because of the release clause in their contract.
Neuhaus had an exit clause of 40 million euros with the German giants, but it expired at the beginning of this summer. Gladbach is likely to charge more for the sale of the German. Neuhaus’s contract with Gladbach runs until 2024.
