Liverpool have been linked with several signings to add some freshness to their squad ahead of the new season. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the latest Liverpool Transfer news and rumors like July 5, 2021.

Liverpool are interested in Piotr Zielinski

Liverpool have been linked with a move from Piotr Zielinski as they want to add quality to their midfield. The Reds will have to do without Georginio Wijnaldum next season, as the Dutchman has moved to Paris Saint-Germain and will therefore have to be replaced.

Although the Reds have several midfielders in their ranks, a player like Zielinski would add more creativity to their midfield.

According to the Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, Jürgen Klopp has always been an admirer of Zielinski, and Liverpool have asked about the Polish international. Zielinski made 47 appearances for Napoli in all competitions and scored ten goals.

Harvey Davies and Luke Chambers sign professional contracts

Harvey Davies and Luke Chambers have signed their respective professional contracts with Liverpool. The duo have been at Liverpool since the U-9 days and hope to make further progress with the club’s U-18 side next season.

Both players played for Liverpool in the U18 Premier League last season. While Davies is a goalkeeper by profession, Chambers is a left-back.

Liverpool are interested in Renato Sanches

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has announced that Liverpool are among several clubs looking to sign Renato Sanches this summer. But a move for the player is not immediately in sight.

“Renato Sanches could leave Lille this summer for around 25 million euros. There are four or five clubs that are interested. Liverpool and Arsenal are keeping an eye on the player but nothing is coming, ”Romano said on the eye2eye podcast.

A transfer fee of 25 million euros would certainly also be affordable for Liverpool, which is not exactly flushed with cash this summer.

Liverpool have already signed Ibrahima Konate and could sign another midfielder before transfer time ends.

They also want to relieve some of their fringe gamblers this summer to cut their wage bills and try to balance their books and relieve their coffers.
