According to RMC Sport (via PSG talk).

Neymar and Messi have no injury worries but are expected to take part in their respective countries’ FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Thursday evening. This would give them very little time to fly back to France and play in PSG’s game against Clermont Foot, due to take place on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe is also a doubt for PSG’s next game. The 22-year-old striker sustained a minor calf injury while playing for France.

If Messi, Neymar and Mbappe miss PSG’s home game, Mauricio Pochettino could face Mauro Icardi and Julian Draxler in attack.

Despite a few question marks, the trio should be ready to face Club Bruges in the PSG’s opening game in the Champions League on September 15.

Lionel Messi made his long-awaited PSG debut against Reims on August 29th. The six-time Ballon d’Or winner came off the bench in the second half to replace Neymar.

As things stand, PSG are at the top of the Ligue 1 table with 12 points, two ahead of second-placed Angers and four ahead of third-placed Clermont Foot.

PSG are hoping with the help of Lionel Messi. finally winning the UEFA Champions League

The UEFA Champions League is widely considered to be PSG’s final frontier. The Parisian giants failed to win Europe’s elite club competition despite taking over Qatar in 2011. However, the club are hoping for a turnaround in their fortunes after the arrival of Lionel Messi.

PSG only played one last game in the Champions League (in 2020) and ultimately lost to Bayern Munich.

Despite signing superstars this summer including Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, PSG will have to navigate a difficult group to make the knockout round of the competition. The Ligue 1 team was drawn against the Premier League champions Manchester City as well as RB Leipzig and Club Brugge.

The two duels against Manchester City will give the key to who will finish the group in first place.
