PSL franchise Lahore Qalandars held a training session at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday ahead of the T20 League resumption.

There is still no clarity on the resumption of PSL 2021 as the arrival of players from Pakistan is delayed due to handling issues. The organizers recently confirmed that the PSL 2021 final will be held on June 24th instead of June 20th.

In addition, the Pakistani team’s departure date for England has been moved from June 23 to June 25.

The official Twitter account of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) tweeted pictures of Lahore Qalandar’s training session late on Wednesday evening. Together with the pictures they contained the caption:

“The @lahoreqalandars are back in business! Sheikh Zayed Stadium. “

Lahore Qalandars herself shared pictures of her training session on her Twitter account.

One of the players, Ben Dunk, wrote:

“Great to be in @lahoreqalandar’s colors again! I’m looking forward to @ thePSLt20! “

In addition to Lahore Qalandars, the Islamabad United squad also had their training session on Wednesday. PSL’s Twitter processes shared images from Islamabad’s training session with the headline:

We pick up where we left off: Lahore Qalandars skipper Sohail Akhtar

Lahore Qalandars won three of their four games in PSL 2021 earlier this year before the tournament was suspended after COVID-19 cases entered the bio-bladder.

Lahore Qalandars skipper Sohail Akhtar expressed confidence that the franchise will continue the winning momentum in the remaining games as well.

He was quoted as narrative

“We’ll pick up where we left off. We are in good shape and have all the ingredients for a successful T20 site. Usually teams with good bowling action do well in leagues around the world and we have the best bowling attack, we have good batsmen too. “

Akhtar admitted that Rashid Khan’s availability is a huge plus for Lahore Qalandars. About the match winner in Afghanistan, he said:

“The availability of Rashid Khan is a plus for us, he is a top player and his presence strengthens our bowling line, which was already looked after by Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Dilber Hussain.”

The Lahore Qalandars captain also downplayed concerns about hot UAE weather conditions in June.

He claimed:

“We played a lot of cricket at home in such conditions. I don’t think about it too much. “

Karachi Kings are the current PSL 2021 leaders. They have won three out of five games and have the best net run rate of any franchise.
