John Cena is still one of the top guys in WWE when he’s in the ring, the problem is he’s less and less in the ring these days. In fact, he last wrestled for WWE at WrestleMania 36 in 2020 during the Firefly Fun House match against Bray Wyatt. But now the multiple world champion has announced that he will come back.

During an interview with celebrity wrestling interviewer Chris Van Vliet, John Cena spoke about a possible WWE return when asked about his iconic jean shorts or jorts and he told Vliet he missed them. However, the conversation resulted in Cena confirming that he would be back.

“You are always so well dressed when I see you and I appreciate that. When was the last time you wore denim shorts? ”Said Vliet

Cena replied,

“The last time wasn’t this WrestleMania, it was the last WrestleMania. I can tell you, I’m really looking forward to wearing Jorts again, it’s been too long.”

This prompted Chris to ask Cena if it was not a question of if but when he was returning, to which the leader of the Cena said, “You are absolutely right. Yep”

When will John Cena return to WWE?

This is big news because there are many in the WWE Universe who thought the last time they saw John Cena after receiving some sort of “This Is Your Life” award for Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House match.

However, with reports that Vince McMahon is looking to make SummerSlam bigger than this year’s WrestleMania because the live crowds will be back, it has been rumored that WWE will be trying to bring back its greatest assets and Cena is one of them.

Rumor has it that Cena is set to return and face The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns now that Reigns is in full swing. The two have already had a memorable fight, but the dynamics for this one will indeed be very different.

When asked what he was doing in another interview in August, John Cena replied, “I hope to enjoy the summer. I don’t know.”

It could be a big year for Cena if F9 comes out and a possible SummerSlam gig, but would you like to see him return for the big summer event? Leave your thoughts in the comments below
