The Sri Lankan cricket team recorded their second victory in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League on Friday, July 23rd. The Islanders beat India with three wickets in Colombo. However, they lost the three-game series with a score of 1-2.

Thanks to their victory in the last ODI against Team India, Sri Lanka reached 11th place in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League points table. The Islanders now have 22 points from four series in their name.

The Indian cricket team has now suffered its fourth defeat in this new competition. After three series in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, Team India has 49 points in the bag.

What’s next for India and Sri Lanka in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League?

Under the original ICC Cricket World Cup Super League schedule, the Indian cricket team was scheduled to host a series of three games against South Africa in October 2021. However, this series will probably not take place due to the IPL 2021 and the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. India’s next series will probably be played at home against the West Indies.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka has an away series against New Zealand. They are also said to host Afghanistan, South Africa and Zimbabwe. The dates for these four series are not yet known.
