The HD remasters of No More Heroes 1 and 2 are coming to Steam on June 9, 2021.

The No More Heroes franchise is a cult classic with its adrenaline-pumping, violent action-hack and slash gameplay.

The player controls the character Travis Touchdown throughout the series. The open gameplay of the series thrives on the condition that the player must kill the top ten assassins in order to advance the plot. Players can take part in numerous side jobs to earn cash that they can spend on weapons, training sessions, clothing, and video tapes.

In No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, players control two other characters in addition to Travis. It was released in 2010, and the events take place three years after the No More Heroes 1 plot. Metacritic gave it an 84/100 rating, so it’s certainly a game worth trying out.

No More Heroes 1 & 2 will be released on June 9, 2021 on Steam

Both games hit PC over a decade after their release. The HD Remastered version comes with one caveat, however. Gamers will need to use controllers to play the game as keyboard and mouse are not supported.

The first No More Heroes title hit the Wii in 2007. An improved port, No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise, was finally released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. A port of the original version was later released for the Nintendo Switch in 2020.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle was released for Wii in 2010 and later made it to Nintendo Switch in 2020.

No More Heroes III is currently in development for a 2021 release for Nintendo Switch. But with No More Heroes 1 & 2 coming out on Steam, the chances seem pretty high that No More Heroes III will eventually be released on PC.

The PC release of the No More Heroes games could potentially be a turning point as it could make way for more previous Wii titles on PC.
