There is a lot of speculation about when the Yae Miko banner will be released and what’s left in store for the Genshin Impact roadmap.
Interestingly, there seem to be several different leakers that are creating different rumors when it comes to the release date of Yae Miko. A Chinese leaker, 呆呆 逸, was the first to confirm Raiden Shogun’s model, stating that Yae Miko will not appear in Genshin Impact 2.2.
However, other leakers suggest that Yae might arrive in version 2.2. The official beta for version 2.2 has not yet been released, but Genshin Impact players can still speculate about when new characters will be playable in the future.
The most important thing is that there is a new character banner in Genshin Impact every 21 days.
Genshin Impact Yae Miko banner release date speculation and other roadmap leaks
This is the most believable evidence that Yae Miko will come out after Kokomi. It’s just a tweet, however, so Genshin Impact players shouldn’t take it as gospel. However, it also means there is no guarantee that this will be the exact order that Genshin Impact fans can look forward to.
If the version 2.2 banner appears 21 days after that of Kokomi, it means that players will receive a new banner on October 13, 2021. miHoYo has confirmed that Genshin Impact 2.2 will be released on that date, as players will then be able to get Aloy even if they’re not on a PlayStation console, as seen below:
“Start of update maintenance for version 2.2 (October 13, 2021 05:59 UTC + 8)”
Will Yae Miko be the next character after Kokomi?
There are no credible leaks to confirm that Yae Miko will be coming to Kokomi. It would make sense to debut a new playable character on this date, however, as Genshin Impact tends to promote new major updates with fancy new banners.
A repetition of the Venti banner was the first in version 1.4. If UBatcha is correct with the units (and not necessarily the order), it could mean that there is a ganyu repeat on that date instead. There have been several new 5-star characters lately, with not too many reruns in the past.
However, that doesn’t necessarily confirm that Yae Miko is the next playable 5-star character. If an old believable leaker, 呆呆 逸, says she won’t show up in 2.2, it could mean another 5-star character shows up instead.
Of course, leakers can always be wrong. Some have misunderstood dates and facts in the past, some of them have left the scene entirely.
Possible dates for a banner
Genshin Impact has a banner every 21 days. If the Yae Miko banner isn’t on October 13, 2021, it could be on November 3, 2021. The same official article about the acquisition of Aloy mentions that Genshin Impact 2.3 will launch on November 24th, 2021, as shown below.
“Start of update maintenance for version 2.3 (November 24, 2021, 05:59 UTC + 8)”
The dates add up to be correct. If Yae Miko doesn’t release 2.2, November 24th is a pretty safe bet.
