There were reports this morning that CM Punk might be on its way to AEW. Now, a new report suggests that former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan has already signed Tony Khan’s promotion.
According to Cassidy Haynes from Bodyslam.net, Daniel Bryan (formerly known as “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson) is locked-in and has signed a contract with AEW. With preliminary plans for his arrival at the company.
If this report turns out to be true, it will be a huge commitment for AEW as Daniel Bryan is one of the most recognizable stars in professional wrestling today.
Daniel Bryan’s AEW contract details revealed
Haynes reports that Daniel Bryan has received requests for his AEW contract, including the opportunity to work in Japan, have fewer appointments for comparable money, and be creative in how his character is portrayed on AEW television.
All of these requests sound relatively reasonable to a Daniel Bryan quality superstar, and it’s no surprise AEW owner Tony Khan would agree with them.
When Bryan will make his AEW debut is not yet known. But it will most likely take place sometime in the next few months. The Chicago and New York City shows are the best contenders for his AEW arrival.
Bryan’s topic outside of WWE was “The Final Countdown” of Europe. Since Khan has already proven that he has no problem licensing theme music for his list, you can expect the theme music to be played on TNT sooner rather than later.
Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for the latest information on Daniel Bryan’s status with AEW.
