Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of finalizing a move for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White after an offer was accepted by the Seagulls. The England international has become one of the most sought-after players in the Premier League over the past two seasons.

According to Soccer london, Arsenal had put in a £ 40million offer for Ben White, which Brighton quickly turned down. The Gunners have reportedly returned with a £ 50m offer for the Englishman, which Graham Potter’s side accepted.

Ben White became famous in the championship during his loan from Leeds United. He played a key role in Leeds United’s championship season 2019-20, helping Marcelo Bielsa’s side seal automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds United were desperate to hold Ben White last summer but had turned down several offers for the 23-year-old from Brighton.

Although Graham Potter’s side had a disappointing Premier League season in which they finished 16th, he won Brighton’s Player of the Season Award for the 2020/21 season.

White has drawn the attention of a number of the top clubs in the Premier League over the past few months. Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been linked to a Brighton star move this summer.

Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of finalizing a move for the defender after accepting a £ 50m offer for Ben White. Mikel Arteta is determined to sign a top-class defender as a partner of Gabriel Magalhaes in the defense center next season.

The signing of Ben White should lift the mood in the Emirates. Arsenal have had some tough seasons and were disappointed after finishing eighth in the Premier League last season.

Ben White is a player who has the potential to solve Arsenal’s defensive problems.

Mikel Arteta will aim to sign an attacking midfielder before the transfer window expires to add some creativity and goals to his midfield.

Signing Ben White is likely to improve Arsenal’s defenses, but the Gunners will need to step up their attack if they are to fight for Champions League spots next season.
