The Tennessee Titans are preparing intensively for the coming season. Right now, the coaching staff is probably looking at the players and deciding who fits where while getting them in shape. This is the first opportunity of the year to impress for most gamers. Here are three players in a great position to make a big impression on OTAs for the Tennessee Titans.
Three Tennessee Titans on display at OTAs
# 1 – Josh Reynolds
Josh Reynolds was one of the best kept secrets of the loaded receiving corps at the Los Angeles Rams. The Tennessee Titans have a player who has shown he has only gotten better since his rookie season.
He was usually the fourth recipient on the loaded rams’ depth map, but when asked to mount he did the job. In 2017, Reynolds started slowly with only 11 catches for 104 yards and one touchdown. In 2018, Reynolds caught 29 balls for 402 yards and five touchdowns.
2019 was a slower year, but he was still productive in a limited role. He earned 326 yards and a touchdown. 2020 was his best season. He earned 52 receptions for 618 yards and two touchdowns.
He is only 26 years old and received a score of 65.7 per PFF in 2020. In 2021, Reynolds will be the third-string recipient behind AJ Brown and Julio Jones. Expect him to do well for the Tennessee Titans against less talented cornerbacks.
# 2 – AJ Brown
AJ Brown was the main recipient of the Tennessee Titans in 2020. 2021 will be its third season. He’s had a great rookie year with over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns on 52 catches. In 2020, AJ Brown received 70 receptions for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns.
AJ Brown is a speed threat. According to next-gen stats, he hit 21.52 mph on the way to a touchdown. That was the fastest receiver speed in 2020, according to Sports Illustrated. Now that Julio Jones is able to soak up a top cornerback, AJ Brown should be able to explode across the field. When it comes to contactless OTAs, speed means the best games.
# 3 – Julio Jones
Assuming Julio Jones takes the field before the OTAs end, it should be clear why the NFL’s eyes are on him. The Tennessee Titans will want to see what version of Julio Jones they get, and Jones will try to show the franchise that they can still be elite at 32.
Julio Jones sustained an injury last season but has been relatively healthy for most of his career. Julio Jones has eight seasons in which he has earned at least 950 yards. He also has seven seasons in which he has earned at least six touchdowns.
